I've been using raydon's Media and File Server Bundle for the Humax FoxsatHDR - Release v4.1.3 ever since it was developed, however, some time during the past year when the various Windows 10 updates have automatically landed on my PCs, I have lost the ability to see my Humax Foxsat HDR on windows File explorer network. I have tried multiple means to try and fix it so that my HDR shows up on windows 10 so that I can transfer video files from the HDR to my computer over the network but annoyingly it does not show up anymore. The only way open at the moment is to download the files over the network using the browser which is inconvenient. Has anyone else experienced these problems and do you know of a work around. It seems to be a windows 10 problem as nothing has changed on the Humax during this time.

At a guess I would say you no longer have Samba v1 support installed in Windows 10. Try reading https://support.microsoft.com/en-nz/help/4034314/smbv1-is-not-installed-windows-10-and-windows-server-version-1709

    Thanks for your help Martin.

I've looked at the MS support document and have enabled Samba v1 support (I think...."turn windows features on or off) but still can't see my Humax on the PC. Is it necessary to edit the registry as well? Do you know of any other simple remedies?

Try turning off "SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal".

Thanks for that David...I think this must be the answer, because whenever I go back to "Turn Windows features on or off" the check box I previously checked is unchecked again, so it is being turned off by Windows.

    BUT...

I just can't find out how to turn off "SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal"

    Any idea's?

    Hi Pollensa,

I already got that page up previously, but, I must be a bit thick cos I simply just don't understand it..

Oops..just realised there was another URL below that which seems t explain more easily...I'll try that and let you know if I get success...

    This is my problem..

I have the first box but not the latter three!

Step 4 : Make sure you TICK the 4 options :

    - SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support
    -- SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal
    -- SMB 1.0/CIFS Client
    -- SMB 1.0/CIFS Server

I have the full set on Windows 10 pro 64 bit (you do of course have to click the "+" symbol next to the first one to see the rest).

That's funny, my setup is Windows Pro 64bit Ver 1703 OS Build 15063.850 fully up to date and I only have the single check box with no plus sign to access the other three checkboxes!
