Hi just got this box and I must say I'm very impressed with it. I have however spent 24 hours trying to get the remote to operate the tv. Finally found this forum where I established that it can not do that. It appears that the recommendation is the harmony 1. But as this is around the £100 mark just before Christmas I thought I had better look for a more wallet safe alternative. My wife still thinks the 1tb 1000 I brought was £100!

So has anyone used the 300i and does it have all the functions from the standard 1000 remote?

    Thank you.

I have a harmony 650 and all works fine. I had to 'learn' some of the command but for the most part they work OK.

Having made the purchase, for those that could not afford a better one, I can confirm that the 300i works really well. I got it on Amazon for under £20. I had to manually program the home button and a few others but now all working as planned. Really pleased.

FYI: Currys currently have both the Logitech Harmony 300i and the 600 at half price in their sale at £9.98 and £14.98 respectively. Bought the Logitech Harmony 600 since this has an LCD screen and can support 5 devices. There is a 26-page user guide that can be downloaded.
