Hi folks just found this forum and am as disappointed as everybody else with the lack of HD recording on BBC Olympic channels.
I'm willing to try any beta solutions that become available, the one possible stumbling block is that I uploaded the Custom FW 4.0.7 firmware a few days ago.
So the question is will I have to re-install the original Humax FW before applying any patch?

And the answer to your second question is no - Humax beta's are complete firmware and not patches.

Intriguing

Hi all, found this forum in searching for a solution to the frustrating situation of not being able to record any of the BBC's 24 Olympic channels. I'll be returning to work tomorrow and was hoping to be able to record a few of the days events on my Foxsat HDR. I've read that there may be a beta update as a solution to the problem, i hope someone can help.
(fingers crossed).

I only found this site yesterday, picking up the reference from a BBC news report - it would have helped me with other problems I have had in the past when I have emailed the company direct and waited a day or so for an answer. However, I look forward to a working recorder for the Olympics quite soon, I hope. I was nearly taking my box back for exchange as I thought it was just me until yesterday!
