Netflix works just fine but I am suddenly unable to access onDemand channels... when I try it says "Checking internet..." then takes me to the "Ready to watch when you are" screen asking me to connect to the internet.

I have a wired Ethernet connection at 300 megabits (FTTP) so speed can't be the problem.

I have power cycled and performed a factory reset with no change.

I did change my router a week or so back so I guess that could be the issue.

Any ideas what I could try next?

Start by re-booting your router, turn the power off on the router then on again. Then repeat with your 1000S. If still a problem go into the admin pages of your router and check which devices it sees (attached devices) and it should show the assigned IP addr.

Power cycled my router, switches and the device but still no joy.

Like I say, Netflix still works on the Humax box so there clearly is an internet connection.

How are you accessing On-Demand? Does the box display both the backwards EPG and the icons on the Humax Home page?

Yes it does but I fixed the issue.

Instead of using my ISP supplied DNS I switched to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (Cloudflare's DNS offering)... 3 times faster than Google DNS.

I suspect that most of the time this happens it is an ISP supplied DNS issue.

    Anyhow, thanks for the help.
