My LG tv has a built-in Freesat tuner in adddition to Freeview. I have just bought an HB1100s to add recording via a usb hard drive. However, although I can get all the Freesat channels, plus around 500 non-Freesat channels, with the cable connected directly to the tv, when connected to the 1100 I am unable to get anything at all. Any ideas.

You do not mention if your 500 includes encrypted or not. Do you have a total channel count (incl. or Exclu. radio, including freesat)
The most probable cause of the problem is the unit is unable to detect the freesat transponder (which is the only frequency it is looking for during early setup).
Can you TV see a signal on 11428 H 27500 2/3 ?

That could explain things, Repassac. My tv is using 10847 V 23000 2/3, signal strength 100%, Quality 100%. Looks lije I just need to reposition my dish a few degrees!

I was more thinking about a LNB fault - Do you receive any horizontal polarised channels? e.g. Film 4 UK
I would think your dish is pretty well spot on with BBC1/2 HD at 100% quality| Mon 25 Jun 2018 16:12:47 #4 | -
Film 4 is coming in at 10714 MHz, H, 22000, 5/6. I've checked various channels and both H and V are coming in at similar or better strengths. This is on the LG tv Freesat settingxs. But transferring the cable to the Humax stb shows no signal.
I'm using an 80cm dish and have checked all the connections which seem OK.
I can't understand why there would be no signal at all on the Humax.| Thu 28 Jun 2018 6:49:12 #5 | -
On the TV can you try a non-freesat tune to 11428 H 27500 2/3.
Where are you located? 80cm suggests France?
10847 is also on the UK beam so I would expect 11428 to be much the same.Do you have a friend you could try the unit at their installation?
Is there any electrical kit near the HB-1100S? DECT phone or something?| Thu 28 Jun 2018 7:48:02 #6 | -
Can't find 11428 in transponder listing, but tuned to 11427 H 27500 2/3 getting 388 tv and 64 radio channels ( currently watching France 24 HD).
I'm in England (Selby, North Yorkshire) - the 80cm dish was part of a motorised FTA satellite set-up, where I had several thousand channels. I no longer have the Technomate tuner, and had the dish professionally set up for Freesat, using the built in tuner, which is still working fine. But I added the Humax receiver for the additional options and the possibility of recording.
My next step is to try the Humax on another installation - should work OK I think on a Sky set?
The only electrical kit near the Hunax is the normal tv stuff (dvd, freeview, amp).| Fri 29 Jun 2018 6:09:26 #7 | -

The only electrical kit near the Hunax is the normal tv stuff (dvd, freeview, amp). The freesat home transponder is horizontally polarised. It might say 11427 V or 11428 V. You can also add a user defined transponder to check.
Manual figures
11425 H DVB-S QPSK 27500 2/3
The transponder you have is 11426 V. This might indicate a issue with polarisation switching.
Try 10773 H.
