    Also, when you say remove encryption, how would one go about doing that ?

    For SD content by copying the program on the HDR-2000T to an attached USB disk. HD content would require an extra step discussion of which is not allowed by the Forum rules.

    Ok, thanks for confirming. It's a shame as I have some good films recorded in HD. However, a lot of it is SD, so some of it is viewable.

    I just need to get the machine going which is the biggest problem.

    Yes Ive just bought one of these HDR 2000T as a long time Humax owner.

    Im not sure if Ive made a big mistake at the moment.

    The hard drive noise is starting to niggle me and I have started to get involved in threads about that. The picture features and sound seem great so its a shame that a significant part or design feature seems flawed.

    I now realise there seems to be a long history of returns and loads of refurbished units
