Just had this email from Humax support. It does confirm that they intend to issue at least one more software release for the 4000T.

    "Hi Kevin,

Thank you for contacting Humax. Unfortunately we have been very busy lately which has caused a delay in our email response time, I apologize for any inconvenience this caused you.

No we will continue to provide updates for the FVP-4000T, while we do not have a release date at the moment there is an update due to be released in the near future.

    Best Regards,

The writing on the wall says the FVT 5000t software (with the same H/W) is coming. No knowledge but why would Humax not choose the easiest path for them?

I agree, seems the most logical path for Humax. Perhaps they are just waiting for a ground swell of 4000T users running the 5000T software to see what happens - it is working fine for me.
