Been using V23 for over a year, no problems but now since a re-tune a month ago it loses the epg in standby like it used to pre V23, HDD only 10-20% full, shows V23 and loader 4.09, clock display still o.k. box is a very early version, only mod is a temperature circuit for the fan, any ideas?

    Welcome to the Forum

As you mention retune, any possibility you could be receiving from more then one transmitter - channels stored in the 800's maybe a clue to this.

No 800 channels, top channel is 309, have done a couple of retunes since using default reset and the aerial lead out to avoid problems. My wife does the recording so I'm not exactly sure when we lost the epg caching in standby, my wife thinks we lost the cache a week or so after the retune so it may be coincidental.
V23 date May 2010, worked fine from then to a month or so ago, series link works.
P.S. nice to see all you guys back on this new site, you were all a great help on the old site on fan noise and other issues

Thank you for the kind words.

Channels in the 800's is only an indicator. Try the manual tune instructions as detailed by Biggles in this post:

Thanks Barry, tried one last auto default retune, now working fine, don't know what went wrong before, maybe not enough signal?
