    Hi all

My 9200T has developed a problem. On Tuesday I switched on, the picture was fine for about 30 seconds, then became more and more pixellated before going black. It would do this for every channel, even after switching off at the mains and waiting 10 minutes. Signal strength and quality were both as normal.

I did a manual search on Wednesday (Our transmitter is Winter Hill) and it couldn't find any channels at all. I plugged the aerial directly in to the TV and that worked fine. All our recorded programs play back with no problems at all.

Has anyone had a similar experience or could shed some light on what I could try? Humax tech support could only say "well, it's getting a bit old." I think we've had it 5 or 6 years now without problems.

    Many thanks
    Stuart

Hi and welcome to the forum

Sounds like a failed tuner or I would think more probably the power supply.

Take the lid off (disconnect from the mains first) and check the capacitor tops in the PSU - if they are domed they need replacing.

I'll take a look inside as soon as I can and take it from there.
