I would like to add the drama channel to my line up but if I do a rescan it says I will lose all of my series links, which I'm reluctant to do, is there another way rto add the new channels?

Any new channels added to freesat will not require a rescan.
Which Drama channel are you referring to? If its the Drama channel that's recently been added to Freeview then you will not find it on freesat.| Mon 26 Aug 2013 20:01:37 #2 | -

It's not on Freesat which is why you can't find it.

This may seem a stupid question but why is it not on freesat when it's on everything else, digital, freeview and sky?

This may seem a stupid question but why is it not on freesat when it's on everything else, digital, freeview and sky?Drama is owned buy UKTV and all their channels that are on satellite are part of subscription packages on Sky which UKTV get revenue from being that way, which is the reason why currently they're not on freesat.

Weird, ha
that channel was released on terestrial first, then freeview then sky if I remember correctly, so if freeview have it I expected freesat to also have it.
Thanks for the info.

Not really that weird. Freeview and Freesat are two completely different formats, Sky is one of five partners of Freeview whereas freesat is partnered by the BBC and ITV.
For UKTVs channels to be free to air on freesat, they would so need to be free to air on Sky too which means UKTV would then lose the revenue they currently get.| Mon 26 Aug 2013 20:51:41 #8 |
