Alternative remote for 5000T

just found this thread, maybe someone can help.
i have a hisense tv along with the 5000t.
the remote is doing my head in, some buttons work all the time, vol, on/off, guide but many are intermittent.
I'm about 5 to 6mts away all the time.
I've looked at the one for all site at the URC-7140 Essence 4 and others but it seems nothing is compatible with a hisense tv.
do I have any other options other than just buy the URC-7140 Essence 4 for the humax only.
i love the box, I love pvrs but this remote is getting on my wick, it's usable but bloody aggravating having to keep waving it around.

Which Humax remote do you have and when did you buy the Humax?

the remote is RM-LO8 the 5000t is about a year old.

it doesn't work reliably at any range but its rarely used close up.
the OK button is probably the worst, along with the jump buttons.

OK I just wondered if you had one of the very early RM-L08 remotes which were notoriously poor quality and replaced free of charge by Humax but that was a lot longer than 2 years ago.
