I am a novice at all this and just looking to buy a Humax HDR-1000S Freesat HD+, at the moment I am tied into a Sky contract until September, the idea is to replace the Sky+ box (that has a two coax feed) with the Humax HDR-1000S Freesat HD+ in September but in the meantime i wanted to evaluate in a another room where there is only one cable from the Sat dish.

My query is whether the Humax HDR-1000S Freesat HD+ demands two Sat cables or will it run on one, I understand it will be limited as far as recording but i just want to evaluate the box and stations available.

    Welcome to the Forum

A few users have reported success with one cable with the limitations on recording you are aware of.
