I'll start by saying that I've owned a HDR-1000S 500GB from launch. Having lived with it for 3 months or so, I'm generally pleased with the way it functions and would say that what it does, it does well.
However, last night a recording failed with the message 'disk full'. Space used is reported as 100% but auto delete is on! I'd assumed with this setting, the machine would take care of disk space management with no input from myself.
I have now manually deleted older recordings and whilst doing so noticed certain programmes had a white exclamation mark within a black circle, next to them. As far as I'm aware, this icon means these recordings are scheduled to be deleted but none of them appeared under the 'deleting soon' menu area.
I've read various forums but can find no report of anything similar to this. Does auto delete work for you guys? Is it a bug, faulty box or have I missed something?
