Is the Humax box supposed to turn on the TV when the recorder is switched on? It certainly turns it off when the recorder is switched to standby. The box I have has succeeded in doing this on a few occasions in the past but no longer does so. Any ideas?

Welcome to our Forum

It can switch tv on, dependant on brand and HDMI CEC.

Check tv settings for this and toggle settings.

This might be fixed for you with the new software which addressed problems in the HDMI interface.

My Panasonic Viera gets powered ON/OFF by the Humax when I set the Viera Link to ON in the TV setup menu and connect by HDMI.
