Do folk turn off their Humax, leave it on 24/7 or use the power on timer in some way?

Having come from the Sky HD box whose standby option doesn't actually turn off anything I'm finding bootup time on the Humax a little annoying.

Mine is left in low power sby. For the less than the minute it takes to boot compared to the power saving of over £20.00 per year it's a very minor issue. I have four Humax pvrs so annual saving amounts to over £80.00.

Also leave it in Low power standby.
Think that the G2 Humax units boot quite quickly when compared to a Sky unit's cold boot.

I leave my 1000s in low power standby - 35 seconds is very little time to wait, plus once you get used to the wait it's easy then to remember to boot it up in good time to use it.

My BT Youview box has SMART mode which puts this into low power saving between 1.00am and 9.00 am.

Obviously you could run it like your old Sky box but then just like with Sky you would be wasting money.
