Hello
Having problems with both my 1100s 1tb boxes. One restarts on its own after app 2 hours. Other problems are loss of sound then comes back after unplugging, list of recordings disappear then reappear after restart, program list contains no programs until you restart. The restarts on its own happens every time we watch tv but the other faults are intermittent.
Both boxes are app 5 months old
Thanks for looking

Recent restarts are known to have been caused by an external source - these were thought to be solved yesterday morning.
The missing programme info could well be down to the restarts where the HDR-1100S did not have the opportunity to save the current data. Programme data should in any case repopulate quite quickly, especially if tuned to a BBC HD channel.
The loss of sound is unusual. Does this occur both on HD and SD channels? Is the sound handled by the TV over HDMI?
In the HDR-1100S setting how is the sound output set to Multi-channel (Sound encoded with picture on most HD broadcasts) or Stereo (sound decoded by HDR-1100S and passed to TV/Audio device.| Sat 1 Oct 2016 10:36:18 #2 | -
Hi
The sound is set to audio type = stereo. Digital audio out = multi channel. The restart happened again this morning so have swapped the power supply, with the other box ( other box is only on for a short time each day so wouldn't notice a restart)
The sound is from the humax box to sound bar then to the tv using HDMI cables in and out. When we lost sound we tried the tv sound but that didn't work either.
Thinking about it we should have tried the now box or the Amazon HDMI unit but never thought about it.

With multi-channel selected ,be aware that for HD channels using AC3 the sound will be decoded by the sound bar which will also control volume. With Digital audio out = Stereo, the Humax will control sound decoding and volume on HD channels as well as SD.
Changing this setting while the sound is lost might be interesting. You could also try bypassing the sound bar to prove that it (or the connections) are not the problem.
If the restarts continue try a reset to default. Take a picture of the recording schedule which will be lost.
