    Hello.
Looking to cancel my sky HD subscription (and save £55pm) by hopefully switching to a HDR1000s downstairs and a HB1000s upstairs but only if firstly i can watch the recorded stuff from the HDR1000s upstairs on the HB1000s? It will be connected via a 1Gb Cat6 connected network.
I know this feature was meant to be coming but is it working yet? Also, will the HB1000s have to be connected to the actual satellite dish or can it "stream" the programs from the downstairs box via network?
    Hope that makes sense!
It seems this feature or lack of feature is what keeps people from freesat HD and stay with sky as can use the RF out connector and a magic eye to do this from 1 box.

    Thanks for any advice.

The HDR needs the promised Server facility to do both of your requirements. There is currently no outlook on that being available.

    So using cat5/6...
"can watch the recorded stuff from the HDR1000s upstairs on the HB1000s?" No you can't.

"will the HB1000s have to be connected to the actual satellite dish" Yes, no streaming available.

However, using SCART out into a RF Modulator then co-ax to the 2nd TV you can do both in SD only.

No, Humax is the only generation 2 box on the market.
