Just purchased a secondhand Humax PVR 9200T and wonder if there is anywhere to hook it up to the internet and get the catch up channels... iPlayer... etc. Bit behind on all this and all searchable articles on the matter seem to be several years old.

Welcome to our Forum
Not the news you want to hear but....
No chance on a PVR 9200T which is over 10 years old now.

Cheap solution: you could buy a streaming box such as the £15 NowTV box to get catchup including iPlayer. You can use the catchup without buying any Sky subs although you do have to register.

Thanks both! Like the NowTV suggestion, kind of thing I hoped someone would say. Presumably it stands alone from the Humax and works independently as another source?

Yes.

One more question then... my TV is not young either... what socket would it need at the back to attach the Now TV box? Looks like HDMI from the pictures. Thanks again!

Yes. Or if no HDMI you can use composite. See spec at http://help.nowtv.com/article/NOW-TV-Box-Tech-Spec
There's probably a FAQ somewhere but I don't have a link.

The new black Now TV unit can only be connected via HDMI.

Note the white NowTV box connects via wifi. It doesn't have an ethernet port so you'll need a home wifi network to use it.
