Is it likely that my/our Humax box's will have the channel 4 & 5 added to their catch up programs ?

Which box are you talking about? In general older models no. Current models already do.

A cheap alternative which is easy to use if you already have a smartphone or tablet is a Chromecast dongle which lets you cast all the streaming services under the sun (with a few niche exceptions) to your main TV. Or also look at a Firestick dongle which comes with its own remote control. Both of which you just plug into a spare HDMI socket on your TV.

    Thanks.
I have the Humax HDR 100s, only had it a year (new)
But TBF, I can get it on my LG OLED TV, but just wondered.
I guess as I have a Humax it won't then, only on the new box's taken over from Humax, right?

    Is that the HDR-1000S ?

Channel 4-HD and all4- were taken off freesat on 22nd February 2018. To get this you would need a Freeview unit like the FVP 4000/5000T or the new Aura

You should have the following on demand services

BBC iplayer, ITV Hub, My 5, STV Player, Netflix, UK TV Play, CBS Catch Up, Youtube (currently has issues there are ways of using a mobile device/PC to make this work), plus a few others from the ON Demand menu

And here's me thinking that All4 was an internet delivered catchup service not a live broadcast.

I do not understand your post. Who said it was live TV ? The fact is that ALL4 was removed from freesat catch up services at the same time the channel was removed.

what I was saying is that All4 has nothing to do with Freesat, so how can Freesat influence whether people can get it or not?

Who said they could ? 4-HD and all 4 is not on any genuine Freesat kit including the new 4K Arris box.

OK. I give in. You win.

Just as an aside. What other catchup service is missing?
