Channel loss and Tuner no signal

Hi all. I live in SW France. I have had my satellite dish installed since 2001 without any problems, except loss of hd channels due to satellite footprint shrinkage.
I have no chimney, so my 90 cm dish is ground mounted, but I have now been forced to move it 4 metres to the left, as my neighbour has grown a large hedge, which he refused to trim.
I have taken the opportunity to update the electronics in view of their age, so I have a brand new Diamond Line UNI.Quad GT-QD40D LNB, a Johansson Stacker/destacker, and a Spaun SVG 10F in line amplifier, together with a brand new HUMAX 1100S, and the dish is installed under the same roof over my barbecue as previously, so it has always been protected against the weather.
The installation was accurately aligned by a qualified French specialist, as I did not feel capable of doing so.
There are two problems concerning me.
Firstly I can no longer view some of the channels that were available to me previously, such as channel 4, Film 4, France 24, Quest, etc, and secondly that after the technician left yesterday afternoon I could see BBC and some other channels in HD when the weather was clear, but now they are not available and when I check the signal info on those and the missing channels there is no signal shown for Tuner 1, although at the bottom of the screen it states "Freesat box connected with 2 cable".
I understand that here in Tarn et Garonne 82000 we are at the limit of the BBC footprint, but to go from ok to no signal at all the same morning seems bizare, and nothing explains the missing channels. (Also, I am quite prepared to go to a larger dish, which would need to be mounted outside the present roof position, if it would help to get HD more consistently, 110 cm or 130cm?).
Can anyone help please, I would be most grateful for any/all advice?
