Channel scrambled message + EPG not populating

    I've had my Humax PVR9300t for 18 months now, without any problems ... until the bimmin' digital switchovers in September of this year.

    A couple of weeks ago I was watching a recording and suddenly the screen froze and I got the 'This channel is scrambled or not available' message. Following advice from the internet, I unplugged the machine for 30 seconds, powered it back up, and all was well.

    This morning I got the same message whilst watching a playback (interestingly the same programme as before - X-factor). This time however, unplugging the box has made no difference. And now, each time I try and rectify things, the situation seems to get a little bit worse:

    I did an automatic search for channels, then I did a default rescan, and retuned the television as well. I've unplugged the machine numerous times, and also unplugged the ariel from the back.

    Now, it plays programmes through the machine but with black bands across the bottom and top of the screen (these aren't showing on the 'real' tv channels), and half of the EPG programmes are missing - some channels don't have any programmes populating at all, and other channels have some but then are missing for this evening.

    Oh, and it still hasn't sorted out the initial problem of playing back my recorded programme from last night - I'm still getting the 'This channel is scrambled or not available'.

    I could scream.

    Has anyone any other suggestions that I could try?
