My girlfriend has an expensive SKY subscription, but only watches free channels like BBC etc. It’s frightening how many people just keep paying hand over fist for things which are free. A bit like Homer Simpson saying to the Apple salesman “Done! But ONLY if you agree to charge me for lots of things everybody else gives you for free!”
Anyway. She’s cancelling it as we speak, and I want to get her a Freesat box. I have an HDR-1000S, but want to get her something cheap, as she doesn't watch that much. Needs to be able to record and do iPlayer or catch-up though.
Also needs Wi-Fi as her router’s in a different room.
We’ll get her something 2nd-hand, but any suggestions as to which box?
