I have just bought a new HDR1100s 1TB and am having trouble interfacing it with my TV (Philips Full HD 32PWL7404H).
The TV screen says "Format not supported" when I switch on the Humax - and then eventally it does connect - but this can take several minutes...
I have tried 1080i, 1080p and even 720p -- makes no difference.
Once connected the box seems to work reasonably (some freezes, not many).
I have it connected by wifi to my router which is in the same room.
Any ideas, please?
(Humax Tech Support are desperately unhelpful and have told me "it appears to be incompatible with your TV")

I have 1080p set 0n my Philips 5500. The only problems I had were I needed to disable HDMI-CEC (Easylink) on the TV, however Barry, with a later model, reports that is fine.
Suggestions:
1. Try a different HDMI port and make sure the cables are seated correctly.
2. Always boot the TV first and the Humax second, perhaps your TV has a faster CPU but mine will miss some handshaking from the Humax unless it is started first.| Wed 19 Aug 2015 15:27:18 #2 | -
Hi Repassac
Well, your advice seems to have done the trick!
I already had easy-link disabled but I did as you said and changed the HDMI port and also changed the cable...
That seems to have done the trick -- so whether it was a 'lossy' cable or a poor port connection I don't know -- but thanks for your advice. So much better than Humax Tech Support
