This has worked in the past, open the original in tsmuxergui and remux to a .mts file. Open this in AV2HDR and see if that works.

Brilliant, worked perfectly, with one exception, it changed the video size from 1920 X 1080 to 1280 X 720...I cannot see anyway to keep the original, as it seems to take directions from a script, which cannot be edited...hmmmm

Nope got that wrong,, original was 1280 X 720, so it actually retrained the file size, I had selected the wrong one..

    Sorry to but in.

    Re my earlier post

'Fraid the earlier fix on page 1 of the thread did not work

Vista will not let me put files from my computer onto the drive

Says the disc is write protected.

It's a 1/2 TB hard drive with no lugs or tabs to pull

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Cheers

    Paul

In windows file explorer right click on the drive icon.

Choose properties/security. Check Read and Write are both ticked.

    Sorry Graham

    No security tab in properties

From the help section of vista

'The Security tab is not available on file and folder properties in Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Home Basic, and Windows Vista Starter.'

I tried the following in keeping with the spirit of your advice

Properties - sharing - advanced sharing - permissions and I have ticked all of the boxes 'Full Control' 'Change' and 'Read' under the 'everyone' user / group.

Still getting the write protected message.

Also in bottom panel of EXT2 volume manager I right clicked on the drives properties and it says

    Status:Online,Linux,codepage:utf8,Readonly

Also I have disabled User Access Control

Does it mean that when I formatted the disc in Ubuntu it was write protected and I have to reformat it now I've removed the protections?

    Stumped.

Don't have any PC's with Vista, only Win 7 or XP. Bit stumped, presumably you are running as administrator.

    I'm stumped too !!

If you open ext2 Volume Manager and got to TOOLS and slide down to SERVICE MANAGEMENT...what do you see there ? It should have the option for READ ONLY and if so uncheck it ...

    Success (I think)

I right clicked on the F drive in Ext 2 volume manager - show properties - left clicked on Ext 2 properties and in volume attributes - I unclicked the tick in the mount volume in readonly mode

    And now it's copying over.

I'll check it actually works on the foxsat l8r

thanks to sloppyjoe and graham for your help and pointing me in the right direction

    Cheers
