I have replaced my 15 year old Sony Bravia TV and cannot get the onscreen clock to display. A post by grahamlthompson, special member, on JAN 2017 stated that the onscreen clock wasn't available on the 1100s model. Prior to TV replacement, I had the clock displaying via my HDR 1100s but cannot remember the procedure used. Did the reference to the 1100s model apply to the HDR model and could there be an explanation why in 2017 I managed to display the clock on my Sony Bravia?

Perhaps it was the TV that was generating it.

I think the confusion is that the OP's on screen clock was referring to the clock you could display on the HDR-1000/1000S front panel display by not using low power sby. Of course the HDR-1100S has no front panel display. And I guess Repassac is correct the Sony on screen clock was generated by the TV not the Humax box.
I imagine my 2017 post refers to the lack of a display on the latest box.
The Foxsat-HDR is similar it has a front panel display that can display the time in sby.
