Is the Humax 1000 connected to the internet when it is on standby? I have a device on the network, named Hon Hai Precision which I do not recognise but suspect is the Humax - can anyone confirm this?
Thanks.

With the Humax HDR1000S in low power sby, it only consumes about 0.5W, just enough power to maintain the clock and allow the box to wake to make a scheduled recording. Easy way to test is pull out the rear power connector. I would be amazed if your unrecognised device is the Humax.
Welcome to our forum.
They are in Taiwan not Korea. It's another piece of kit you have.

Hon Hai Precision is more commonly known as Foxconn; does that ring any bells?
Could it be related to the remote scheduling app ?
Do you have CCTV?
