Thanks Graham, I knew the boxes were different but wouldn't have thought they'd change the Linux file structure of their basic OS port, but an assumption on my part so apologies for any confusion.
I noted above you can install earlier Samba version, but not a good idea to leave it up unless you're well firewalled etc. It's pretty antique & a well know security. Thanks for the feedback.
