I became aware of the 'crackling' problem some weeks ago but it is only occasionally, and perhaps only for a few minutes and then it seems to disappear of its own accord...
I have the same, with the latest firmware. Although I have only noticed it on recordings, if I skip back, it does not repeat; it therefore appears to be a playback problem.
