    Hi is it possible to attach a usb eternal hard drive to increase recording space

    Hi welcome to the forum. Not currently, you can do this with a Foxsat-hdr, not certain if the HDR-1000S will ever have usb archiving. The only content you can copy from the HDR-1000s hard disc is content you uploaded yourself.

    It will however work with a 2TB drive in it.

    Sorry but Do you mean if I attach a 2TB external hard drive I can record programmes to it

    No, he means you can swap out the existing drive for a larger one.

    No it means you can swap the internal drive to a 2TB. Busts the warranty of course and so far no one afaik has been able to transfer content from the old disc to the new one, unless this is possible it will make upgrading the drive hard after the warranty has expired.
