    Hi folks.

I've seen a few similar posts on this subject but I'm going to ask the question anyway.

We have just replaced our old Nokia Sky box with the Foxsat HDR. We never use the TV sound - the sound from the old Sky box was linked directly to our Sony DAV-S300 home cinema system via RCA leads, and we have done the same with the Humax. Our Xbox is hooked up to the DAV-S300 in the same way.

Now, the sound level output from the Humax seems to be very low compared to other devices, like the old Sky box and Xbox. Presumably there is nothing that can be done about this, so are we best turning the Humax volume up to 100% so the DAV-S300 is at a reasonable volume setting, or setting the Humax volume to a lower level and letting the DAV-S300 do the work?

Would there be any difference in sound quality either way? The volume setting on the DAV-S300 is still higher than it would normally be, even with the Humax volume at 100%.

    Thanks.

I always have the Foxsat volume set to 100% to give line level output.

Yes, this seems like the best idea.

    Thanks.
