I’ve done the SMART retune (where you don’t lose any recording schedules) on both my FVP 4000 & 5000. However if you look at the info on the blue button this seems to be suggesting have to do a factory reset which will lose all the scheduling. Help I’m confused what am I supposed to do today?

The instructions on the Blue Button are generic for all Freeview devices, many of which don't have any sort of Smart Retune. However, in many instances Smart Retune does not find/replace all the channels and one has to do a full retune after all.
If you have all the correct channels, no further action is required.

When doing a smart retune does it find all the channels available or just new ones? When I set up my box I deleted lots of channels I didn't want so my EPG wasn't overly full of channels I'd never watch. Would it bring them back too?
