Have FVP-5000T was working fine until I bought a new HD smart TV.
Now says weak signal or just fails to display programs.

Antenna is good, strong signal. New TV finds and displays 180+ channels, all the HD ones, and perfect picture when using it's own tuner.

New TV finds and recognises the humax box on HDMI 1 (or any other HDMI input) menu works but most channels don't.

If I keep everything the same but connect the HDMI cable back up to my old TV, that works fine again.
5000t is up to date on software.

    Baffled.

At a guess, when you have the HDMI cable connected to the new tv, that cable is too near to one of the aerial cables and is causing interference.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
I don't think that is the case, no cables are particularly close, and it's the same as for the old TV.

I would have a look at the available settings on the TV for HDMI port 1. Some really odd settings such as HDR have been known to cause this problem.
