Interesting observation.
I noticed that if one connects an external drive to a fvp-5000t device and selects the 'Move' option (via 'Recordings', '+' options), the recorded programme gets moved to the external drive (as one would expect), but one still has full access to the menu system. This means one can still look at the 'info' of the programme as normal and watch programme but it is not taking space or residing on the internal hard disk storage of the humax box, which I think is brilliant option if one is running out of space.
One can then if needed disconnect the external disk and copy the programmes over to the PC/Mac/Linux etc as detailed in the forum Topic:
