A Gadget show video comparing 3 Freeview HD recorders.

    Not exactly exhaustive.

Not a bad test from a show that is aimed at the same sort of person that watches Top Gear.

    I must be getting old.

    I must be getting old.

Somewhat lacking in the "ladies in tight skimpy clothing" department though.

    Regards,
A member of the Top Gear target audience.

    swedish cook,

I think if Jon Bentley's mum had been wearing skimpy clothes it wouldn't have done anyone any good!

I noticed that the Gadgetshow feature was filmed in January (before the 'portal' release) so they must have used beta firmware to demonstate the portal (with skyplayer) and SMS searching, neither of which were available - Skyplayer still isn't.

I notice no reference was made to the fact that is no "Five" on Freeview HD. They declined their allocated slot and opted to go subsciption instead therby removing the HD option from many older people who can't afford subsciption service.
