Two things you could try:
1. Leaving the unit on when timers are due, if you already do that then...
2. Try setting Weekday repeat timers.
Is 1.00.26 the software version on the 9300?

Morning Barry my PVR is at home but I think the software is 20012 and it's 28 I think, have I grounds to complain to Humax it's not ideal leaving it switched on seems poor on a new machine, is it my machine or a Humax thing
Worked all week for me, both as individual timers, and set as a weekday repeat.
Trying the same this week with individual timers again, and series link this time.
Try the weekday repeat, ie set one timer for each programme and then edit them.
Cheers Barry sounds complicated, but I will give it a go, I may consider trying it this week again and if it fails, I will leave the timers in the schedule and then Humax can see they are there but no recordings, I was hoping for a pain free Humax experience this time, looks like I might be wrong
Setting weekday repeats:
Highlight the timer and press OK.
Scroll down to Repeat, once highlighted, right arrow until Weekday appears, scroll down, highlight save and press OK - job done.
Afternnon Barry tried the last three nights to record chan4 at 5pm and 5.30pm I tried as you asked
once did not record
daily recorded till 5.41pm and I had the error icon
weekday recorded till 5.41pm had the error icon
can I try the older 2011 software version 26
and if I do try it and it's no better where can I get the 2012 vesion from
Strange only getting a part record, are you definitely sure it is tuned correctly, ie only receiving from one transmitter?
How would I check this? I'm in Darwen and get the repeater from winter hill we only get about 14 channels, I'm on the wrong side to get winter hill and behind darwen moors I have tried in the past to get winter hill by turnimng my aerial but nothing and last night both my old 9150T and my new graded both stopped recording come/dine one finshed at 5.43pm and one at 5.46pm it's the first ime my 9150T as done any thing wrong since the update
See this post for manual tuning instructions:

In general the radiation from relay transmitters is vertically polarised and that from main transmitters is horizontally polarised. This means it is not sufficient to simply point your aerial away from a relay to a main and expect to get a good signal, you also need to rotate the aerial on its longitudinal axis so the elements go from vertical (relay) to horizontal (main).
