We all love Humax here, but it is not the cure for cancer!
Admittedly, other manufacturers would have a hard time competing and keeping up to the defacto standard Humax have created here.
Is it true that the FOXSAT-HDR is discontinued or is joinfreesat getting too excited in drumming up sales for the new box?

Not quite, the 500GB is going through the final stages of production/distribution with stocks expected to last another two or so months. The 1TB production was concluded last month and stock has been depleted through official channels; just stock remaining at the retailers now. Nothing to do with drumming up trade on the new box, it was supplied with compliments from Freesat/Humax for a courtesy review knowing the extensive visitor base the site has.
Did you get a box for review Barry/son_t?
