I assume this can't be done, but just in case anyone knows different....

I've just acquired a new HB-1100S (my old HB-1000S was playing up) and I've hooked up the external USB drive I was using with my old box to it. None of the recordings are available.

Can I watch my old recordings?

If I use the external drive, will it wipe over my old recordings?

    Hello pulck.
I'll assume you've not found out the reason why.

I recently purchased a Humax HDR 1100S, recorded films via the tuner, are NOT available to be copied due to legal issues.

There is no access to the HDD files of "Off Air" recordings (Except to view of course) due to the way the operating system works. I understand it to be a LINUX based one.

    Annoying for me as well.

    Regards James

You can only play them back on the recorder that recorded them. Your only chance is to fix the file system errors on the drive that was used to record them and once fixed to use the original box that recorded the content.

Yes, I worked that out eventually. It's a shame.
