I have a Freeview HD FOX T2 box and have connected to the terrestrial channels, no problem. However, I would like to connect to the internet but have no idea how to do it. Being a total novice could you provide a diagram? instructions, from start to finish in an ABC standard to allow for my lack of technical ability.

    Thanks

    Hi welcome to the forum.

On your broadband router you will find a set of sockets that look like these

    http://www.conrad-electronic.co.uk/ce/en/product/270784/ISDN-RJ45-socket-outlet----RJ45-84----Flush-mount

There is a similar socket on your box.

The easiest way is to simply connect this socket to one of the ones (usually 4) on your router using a length of network cable with RJ45 plugs on each end

If it's not convenient to run a direct cable there are other ways.

Home Plug adaptors, these use you existing mains wiring to create the link. You need a pair, one by the router the other by your box.

Wirelessly using a wireless bridge, unlike the above this need some setting up and isn't simply a question of plugging in the kit.
