Have just had instructions from Humax Helpline how to delete these empty folders. After deleting the programme the folder goes empty - you then have to click on the OPt+ button to get the menu to delete - you click on delete and then click on Yes. What an arduous process to delete a single programme - can't believe it - wish you could still get the 9300T!!

You aren't deleting a programme, you are deleting an empty folder that takes up virtually no space. If a subsequent episode is recorded it goes into that folder, if you delete it it will get re-created if there are more to be recorded.

Err. I said that in post #2!

But in addition to what Graham has just replied if you want to get rid of both the folder and its recording(s) then just delete the folder. The contents will go with it.
It is the same principle as in an office where you have a cardboard folder with paper work in it. If you get rid of the folder then the contents will go as well.

I suspect that after using the HDR for a bit if you come back and read this thread you'll wonder what the issue was.

You can select multiple folders and/or files using the red button to set a tick on those you want to delete/move etc before pressing opt+ to get the delete option. The coloured buttons appear at the bottom of many screens. It's a massive improvement on the 9300T. Remember modern pvrs have very large hard disks and can hold hundreds of recordings, without a proper filing system it would be near impossible to use. Without folders a given recording could be hundreds of files down the list.
