Recently had my HDR2000T exchanged for 3rd time due problems (but now out of warranty).
Was thinking of getting FVP4000T but have a question. With the 2000T I have to use a Scart i/o HDMI to make it work with my oldish Sony Bravia (no sound whatever setup).

I see that 4000T only has HDMI, does it suffer with the same connection problem as my HDR2000T??

Ive just returned a DTR-T2000 (Youview) - it couldnt communicate properly to either a modern Sony or Samsung TV through 7 or of 8 HDMI cables that I tried. It gave picture but no sound. Other devices worked OK with same TVs and the DTR-T2000 worked with older TVs.

John Lewis, Humax, Sony and Samsung couldnt sort it out.

Just bought a FVP-4000T and it works fine with those same cables.

My old TV was a Sony Bravia and it worked OK with DTR-T2000 - as its gone, I dont know if it would have worked with the FVP-4000T.
