Hi has anyone else had the problem that Hdmi signal drops and can only be viewed by scart.
This seems to happen at least once a week, last time did a factory reset seems to be temporary fix

No problem for me. It's usually a hdmi hdcp issue and very likely down to the TV (Make and Model of TV would help). It's worth checking if a software update for the TV is available.

Next time it happens try the following.

Select a different input on the TV and back to the HDR one.

In settings on the box change the output resolution and then back to the one you are using.

Either should force a new hdcp handshake.

Rather than a reset unplugging the power supply for 10 minutes or so may also resolve the problem.

    Lg 42" plasma.
The box I have is around 5-6 weeks old. It hasn't been a issue before.
Tried different Hdmi channel was still the same . I think the humax is set to 1080i so ill try changing box settings
    Thanks

    Try 1080p instead.

This works fine and has never caused any problems for me.

I've suffered this problem on 2 occasions (http://myhumax.org/forum/topic/hdmi-issue)

Having done my own tests, I believe that this is a problem with the Humax box, not the TV or HDMI handshake.

The quick fix is to factory default the box, the downside being that you will of course lose your planned recordings.

I am not aware of any more permanent solution.
