Hi All, I am having the problem with my five year old HDR 1000 pvr where on start up I get the Freesat splash and then I get a tiny picture to the right hand side of the screen and a tiny EPG guide to the left. I f I unplug the pvr for a few minutes all is fine but the next time on start up from standby the same applies. I have also done a factory reset and changed the HDMI lead and changed HDMI sockets on the LG TV. Any ideas or is it time for a new one? Thanks in anticipation.

This sounds like a handshake problem between the unit and TV.
There are lots of things you can try:

    1. Try turning on the TV well before the HDR-1000S.
    2. Try changing the picture output resolution on the HDR-1000S, I have mine set to static 1080P on my unit. You could also try auto which I think resets on any channel change.
    3. On the TV play with changing the source away from and back to the unit.
    4. If you change the channel on the unit what happens on the TV?

Thanks for the reply REPASSAC, I do have CEC simplink activated and has never been a problem until now.I must admit since posting yesterday it has been working fine, maybe I should deactivate the CEC and control both the pvr & TV separately. I have the Humax set to 1080I so I will change that setting.Changing channel on the Humax is fine, I will try your suggestions and see what happens. Much appreciate your time and interest.
