Freesat are now saying that "the next software release is scheduled for early March (pending successful validation testing which is currently taking place".

Which update at the end of March ?

Speculation (Notwithstanding messages that have appeared in other places)

Aimed at me no doubt! The information came from a combined conversation between Humax and freesat at my request. It is important to provide customers with the latest information, even if the rough date may slip. If Humax weren't confident of an update in March, they wouldn't have said, they know better than that!

Well i took the plunge anyway. Got a good deal on the 1TB box on Amazon. I'm still concerned by the fact there new problems are going up on the forum daily but I'm still holding out hope that the upcoming software update will resolve these issues. No doubt I'll be on this forum tomorrow night with issues of my own, but i guess that's the fun of it. Where's the excitement in things working the way they're meant to straight out of the box

Unfortunately teething trouble is the price you pay for being an early adopter of new gizmos... but it's all part of the "fun"
