Hello,
Anyone any ideas how to set up the remote that comes with the HDR1010S so that it can control the TV e.g. on/off, change volume, change input, etc.?
Many thanks for your help.

Can't be done, the AV button on that R/C has no function.
Thanks very much Pollensa1946.
Shame the remote can't cover this as it's a step back from Sky (which I'm replacing). Means I now need to get a universal remote which never covers 100% of what you need. However, the remote is so bad, that this won't be too much hardship - really, why do companies supply such bad remotes for supposed high end boxes?

Almost every user who has bought the box wonders that. It's the most criticised feature. However, don't mention it on the official Freesat forums...

I use my other remote that controls my spare Humax box and it works the 1010s plus TV etc. you can one on Amazon or other places as well. Stops the annoying clicking you get with original remote and works all the features as well. Comes prepared and works out of the box for the 1010s. Try it and see!

Thanks to both of you for the replies, might go down the route of the foxsat remote - quite reasonable too.
Anyone tried a universal remote e.g. harmony?
Hi,
How did you get on with the foxsat remote afterall?
