I have an Octo LNB on a 90cm dish feeding a mixture of Sky and one other Humax boxes. All have a good signal and quality and have worked well for some time. The failure of a Sky Box prompted me to purchase the HDR1010S. I had problems getting past the searching for Satellite screen and eventually called in a Sat engineer to tweek the alignment but no improvement. I took the 1010S to the home of a friend who has one working and it detected the sat and proceeded through the registration process. On returning home the box now works fine but fails to produce a signal on the second LNB. Even when I exchange LNB 1 for 2 I still get no signal on LNB2. I have taken it off Power Saving Mode. I have also done a factory reset but this only serves to loose signal and I have to return to my friend's house to undertake the registration again.

Can anyone help me to get a signal on both LNB inputs.

Have you checked cables and connectors on the LNB or even tried connecting to different inputs on the LNB?

Yes done those. Each cable I am using works with a basic Humax Box and with a Sky Box. The two chosen cables each work in LNB 1 input but neither in LNB 2 input. In LNB 1 an almost 100% signal strength and quality is produced. LBB 2 does not even show a weak signal. All leaks from the Octo LNB have a good signal and quality and have worked well for some time.

It is as though LNB 2 is not activated.

Is this by chance tied in with an Internet connection which just at the moment I do not have other than on my mobile phone.

    I really clutching at straws.

That is an important question, thanks Damian for focusing my mind on an obvious issue (now). I'm going there later so will take the box and report back.

Now taken the Humax box to another friend who has a twin LNB feed and immediately after a factory reset it detected both LNBs with a good signal.

Brough it home and similarly very good on both LNBs.

Did another factory reset at home and it couldn't find a satellite.

So took it back to my friend and again found the satellite on both inputs.

Brought it home and again it found signals on both inputs with both LNBs giving Signal Strength and Quality as GOOD

I am now not touching it as it is working as it should.

Really I don't understand why it works here but only after getting it to work elsewhere.

Maybe it is the waters here!

Thanks for your various contributions of support. Most grateful.

If anyone can explain this I would love to have a solution.
