HDR 1100s purchased this two weeks ago, and unable to work out how to set manual start/finish timing, ie programme of two hours on the tv guide, but only want to record a half hour section in the programme. Is this possible and if yes how.
    Regards James

    Welcome to our Forum

You can set a manual timer thus:

    Recordings
    Planned
Right arrow to select manual recording - on the following screen you can set:

    Channel you wish to record
    Month
    Day
    Start Time
    Duration (note not end time)
    Repeat

Just about to take the plunge and buy a couple of HDR1100S machines,
I'll be using the machines to record a channel from a specific start time in 6 hour blocks on a daily basics.
Can someone tell me what the options on the "Repeat" menu are
    1) Weekly
    2) Daily
    3) Monday-Friday
    4) Weekends.

    Thanks
