Got the basics working on my newish HDR-1100S.

I'd now like to get it to access a memory stick via USB or even to a shared drive on the wifi network.

Pretty sure the first should work, not so sure about the 2nd.

If I plug in a USB stick (does it matter which USB port is used?), the HDR-1100S can 'see' the stick and 'see' JPEGs/MP3s but ... it won't play them ... says 'format unsupported'.

If I try to format the stick from the Humax box, it says it can't do it.

    Any suggestions, please?

Are there any detailed instructions for the Humax HDR-1100S, including use of USB and ehternet ports, formating, sharing, playing external files ....

Box supports NTFS so you should be able to format it using a PC. Your jpegs are probably too large, try rescaling them nearer to your TV resolution. As for the MP3 files, need to have a look at the actual format of the file. Download MediaInfo. Open one, select tree view. Export as text file and post details.
