    Hello
I have the above Humax PVR and would like to know about something please!
I am getting a message on Screen " The Terrestial Antenna is Short Circuited" now i cannot get rid of the massage .
I had reset the Box and by error had turned On the Antenna Power Option, now i cannot get to reverse that option to the Off .
When i try and do it all that now happens is that the Message gets sort of Highlighted ?
I have tried to switch off the Box, unplug it, pull out the Antenna, do all kinds of things but when re connecting and switching on again, the message appears again.
I have now taken the Box completely off which has taken that message away, so am sitting with no PVR.
Any Help will be most greatly received
Many Thanks for your time and for reading
    Cheers

Hi and welcome to our Forum

We don't have that unit in UK so cannot attempt to replicate your problem.

Have you tried another factory reset as this should default the antenna power option to off.

If Barries advice does not work. Connect to your aerial using an isolated wall plate. These have a series DC blocking capacitor.

I have just come across this i wonder if it will work ?

Please go Menu-Settings-Power Management and see if Automatic Power Down is On. If it's 'On' and HDR-7500T is left with no control for 3 hours, it is set to turn off itself to save energy.

So as my Set has been off now for overnight i will have to try it again and see
    Thanks again

    According to the user manual:

    Menu
    Settings
    Installation
    Factory Default

Default password is 0000 (4 zeros)

If similar to UK units you will lose recording schedule if you have one so make a note.

You do not need a wallplate. Just connect one in the coax feed from the box rf out out the the aerial which is clearly loop dipole device which is a short circuit to DC power. It's not to radio frequency frequencies.

When i choose Installation after Settings all that happens is shown in last Picture, it just makes the Message have a white border and nothing else happens ????
    Gosh this is so frustrating!

Done the above and still the same !

If you cannot enter 4 zeros at installation page you are stuck.

You could try uploading software to see if the will force a reset to system installation:

    https://au.humaxdigital.com/support/?product_id=2688&curr_page=sw_release

Failing that contact Humax Australia support:

    https://au.humaxdigital.com/contact-us/

Thay may have a default file you can upload to unit.
