Hi, just installed an HDR1000, it's connected with two cables to the dish.

When watching via the box it wants to change channel when starting a recording, only one recording is taking place. Is that normal behaviour? I'm used to my HDR Fox T2 wanting to change channels if two recordings are taking place, which would make the currently viewed channel unavailable.

When you installed the unit did it confirm two cables?
Check at the foot of the page in (from memory) Settings > System info > Signal.

Correct - should say (In broken English ), at bottom of screen

Freesat box connected with 2 cable.

Yes, both cables showed during install and also show in the signal info screen - where it also says Freesat box connected with 2 cable.

I was watching ITVHD when the recording started on E4, that was the only recording scheduled. The box said I either had to change to the recording channel or cancel the recording. I changed to E4 but was then immediately able to change channels back to ITVHD. I take it it shouldn't do that if only recording one channel? I'll keep an eye on it, I have some more in the planner this evening.
