Hello, just arrived on the forum. I've just cancelled Sky because they wanted to increase my monthly payment by 95%! Taken the Q box out of the rack and a Humax 1000S out of the attic. The connections seemed like for like so I was optimistic that change over would be easy. Unfortunately I get the message that there is no signal or a weak signal. The signal was good enough for Sky so is there something different about the connections/sockets? The 2 cables from the dish screw onto the Humax easily. Any advice gratefully received.

    Hello,

I'm still wondering why my dish produced a good enough signal for my departing Sky Q box but not for my Humax HDR1000S. I believe that the same satellite is used.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

The Sky Q and the HDR1000S require different LNB. A hybrid LNB allows both to be used.
